Jim Kovacik is the Executive Producer for the News 88.7 Talk Show “Hello Houston.” He previously spent twenty-nine years as a Morning Show personality/producer in Houston, Texas. In 2023, he served as the Director of Content of Townsquare Media Lubbock where he managed six popular stations in the city. Before that, he worked in Victoria over four popular radio stations.
How did it all start? Well, immediately after he graduated from the University of Houston, Jim started his radio career with 97.9 the Box and mastered every aspect of radio. With his production skills, he has produced, voiced, and even sang on hundreds of morning show bits, commercials, and song parodies.
He has also covered major world events broadcasting from the 2000 Summer Olympics in Australia and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. On the personal side, Jim is married with four kids.
